Weeping Dragon's History

The Weeping Dragon, like the other Dreadgods, was the result of research and experimentation conducted in the Labyrinth beneath Sacred Valley, some millennia ago. The researchers attempted to address the problem of hunger aura. It was originally an unremarkable Dreadbeast when it was infused with hunger aura, but it unexpectedly and quickly grew far beyond expectations. It eventually escaped confinement and entered the outside world, and is now driven by the urge to feed and to come back to the Labyrinth, the place of its birth.

About a decade ago, the Weeping Dragon was drawn into a battle between Reigan Shen and Tiberian Arelius. Along with it came its cult of followers, the Stormcallers, who devastated the Dawnwing Sect while the Dreadgod was passing by. Northstrider had also gotten involved, and he battled the Weeping Dragon, who unleashed its infamous breath at the Monarch, leading to everyone believing him dead for years.

Since then, the Dreadgod slumbered in the clouds. When the Slumbering Wraith was killed, it awakened and headed to Sacred Valley to avenge its brother. Soon after, the Silent King was slain as well, empowering the Dragon further. Lindon and his allies were narrowly able to kill the Weeping Dragon, causing its power to be distributed to Lindon, the Bleeding Phoenix, and the Wandering Titan.

The Silent King's core binding was used to upgrade Lindon's flying sword, Wavedancer, which Lindon used against the Wandering Titan and Bleeding Phoenix later on.
