Walter Bernhard

Castlevania

Walter Bernhard's powers and abilities

Anger fist: Walter can channel his anger into a lunge, augmented by his vampiric strength, capable of dealing heavy damage.

Dark powers: Walter has control over various dark powers, such as control over demons, Hellfire, Dark Inferno and other abilities.

Proto-Dark Inferno: Walter launches up to three molten balls of dark energy which, unlike Dracula's version, will gradually come to a stop a few meters in front of him before exploding shortly after.

Proto-Summon Spirit: Walter launches a volley of white-blue spirits grouped together which begin homing in on his foe. The tracking ability of this power is not infallible and only capable of bending for a certain degree. Should the target successfully move past their turning range, these spirit bolts will outright ignoring them.

Proto-Fire Pillar: Walter conjures up several masses of energy beneath the feet of his opponent, which will quickly gather up their strength before erupting in a pillar of light blue fire. In Castlevania III fashion, Walter will try to trap his victim between these energy pillars, with the final blast always appearing in front instead of beneath them, perhaps in order to catch any overly cautious hunter off-guard.

Invulnerability: Protected by the Ebony Stone, virtually nothing stood a chance at actually damaging Walter. It took destroying the stone itself to render the vampire vulnerable to damage by subsequent attacks, and even then, only the Vampire Killer proved powerful enough for the task.

Immortality: Just before his death, he implies that he would ultimately come back from the dead in the near future. It's also implied that this ability was transferred over to Mathias via the Crimson Stone, and thus to Dracula.

Teleporting: Walter, like Dracula, had the ability to teleport in a pillar of light and a company of bats.

Levitation: Walter is capable of casual levitation, as shown in his battle against Leon Belmont.

Metamorphosis: While Walter has never shown a second form, during his most powerful attack he transforms into a demon-like creature, implying that he has the ability to shapeshift, like Dracula.
