Viras's powers and abilities

Spear Head - Viras's head can be turned into a potent spear that was able to completely pierce through Gamera's normally impervious shell.

Tentacles - Viras has six tentacles with suction cups he can use for grabbing and throwing.

Movement - Viras can fly and swim through the sky and ocean quite easily, although not at the same speeds Gamera can achieve.

Mind Control - Either through a device or his own latent abilities, Viras has displayed the ability to control minds, although his targets have almost universally been children.

Electrical Blast - Viras can fire off a blast of electricity in his Darkhorse comics appearance. This was not demonstrated in his sole movie appearance.

Viras's weaknesses

Extreme Cold - Viras is critically weak to the cold and freezes quickly when exposed to it, shattering on impact.

Lackluster Fighter - Despite his bluster, Viras was unable to deal with Gamera, although he did inflict several wounds on the turtle.
