Venom Snake's History

Venom Snake was a mercenary commander and before that a military medic for Soldiers Without Borders. The one who led Outer Heaven and Diamond Dogs as Big Boss's trusted replacement. He is also known as Aheb, V, Big Boss Phantom and also Big Boss.

While being a doctor, Venom Snake saved Big Boss from an explosion at Ground Zeroes in 1975, losing his left arm and right eye in the process. However, Bigg Boss went into a coma. To protect Big Boss, Venom Snake was also sent into an artificial coma and transformed into Big Boss through hypnosis and plastic surgery.

After coming out of a coma in 1984, Venom Snake was known as Big Boss. He soon took command of the Diamond Dogs, a mercenary unit founded by Kaz Miller (an officer of SFs). He rebuilt the mother base and expanded the Diamond Dogs. He managed to defeat the XOF unit and its leader Skullface, the military unit that had overthrown the Soldiers Without Borders nine years earlier.

Venom Snake continued to command Outer Heaven while the real Big Boss returned to Foxhound. Venom Snake was killed by Solid Snake in 1995 in an operation led by Big Boss.
