About | Ulesundo is a demonic cult that worshipped the infernal beast Jigoku Kemono as their dark god. The cult began to form in Japan during the Heian period, around those who had been corrupted by Jigoku Kemono's sinister influence after it broke free from its imprisonment in Hell. Members of the Cult of Ulesundo believe Jigoku Kemono is the ultimate embodiment of darkness in the world. They perform blasphemous rituals intended to increase Jigoku Kemono's power, such as animal and human sacrifices. The cult also seeks out artifacts connected to Jigoku Kemono to aid in its summoning and resurrection. Yamashita was the infamous leader of the Cult of Ulesundo during the Heian period. He was one of the shogun's best assassins sent to battle Jigoku Kemono, but was ultimately possessed by the demon and turned into its vessel. Yamashita unconsciously helped spread Jigoku Kemono's malign influence across Japan as he carried out the infernal beast's will. He completely succumbed to Jigoku Kemono's control and was the primary agent of the demon's sinister schemes until being freed by Abe no Seimei's heirs. |
