Why, if he is pure of heart, would he not be able to? The list of characters (both Marvel and some DC) that have wielded the hammer is quite astonishing. Doctor Doom is one that has briefly held it. If he is conceivably able to, why not Shazam?

Shazam #ManofPower - I agree with your point about them not having infinite strength. Very few actually do. I'm mostly basing my stats off the site (which I do take issue with a few characters stats).

Shazam This is a tough battle to judge. They are both very powerful and similar characters. They both have infinite strength and a similar level of power. They are both incredibly durable. And they both have magical elements to their characters. That being said, I vote for Shazam. Yes he is a child that transforms into the hero and yes he isn't technically a god, however he is able to masterfully channel several very powerful gods. Wisdom is a game changer in a battle. Using his god given wisdom, Shazam is able to calculate an opponents fighting strategy(s) and weaknesses and then counter. And he later becomes the wizard with incredible powers. As to the point about Mjolnir, I would argue that, in theory, Billy/Shazam is worthy of wielding the hammer. It is stated that Billy was chosen because he was found to be "pure of heart", among other reasons. If other characters are worthy to wield it, why not Billy? That also would be a game changer. Just my two cents worth.
