Speed - The TIE/ad could achieve speeds of up to 1200 kph in-atmosphere, underwater, and in a vacuum. It was also equipped with a class 4 hyperdrive that was limited to a maximum of ten jumps.Defenses - The TIE/ad had notably stronger armor than base TIE models and featured a deflector shield that infamously required much fine tuning between flights.
Weapons - The TIE/ad was equipped with a pair of chin-mounted laser cannons and a cluster missile launcher.
