Thor's History

Thor's Warrior Madness is based on the Old Norse idea of "berserkergang". In legends, it is said that berserkers were warriors whose bloodlust, ferocity and savagery made them nearly feel invincible in the battlefield. While Thor is indeed a short tempered warrior, there is a certain point that he himself can be overwhelmed by his anger and succumb into the state of Warrior Madness. It is forbidden under the Imperial Law of Odin and any who fall under it must pay the penalty and only the most bitter sacrifice can absolve the person of this 'Sin Unpardonable'.

In the state of Warrior Madness, Thor can harness strength enough to effortlessly overpower beings that have either proven to be equal to him in the past or outright superior to him. He becomes stronger than he was before but at the cost of his sanity. This boost of stamina and strength puts him in a berserk mode where he cannot differentiate between friends and foes and makes him difficult to be reasoned with. It is rather easier for him to enter into this state than to get out of it. Overuse of this ability can potentially make him permanently insane and impossible to cure.
