Taarosh's History

Taarosh is one of the Darkin, who were once great Ascended warriors until they were corrupted by the Void and Blood Magic.

Taarosh was one of the Darkin that sided with Aatrox thousands of years in the past against Xolaani. He was at one point close to besting her in combat, but he was interrupted by the arrival of the Targonians, who used Myisha's sealing spell to trap him within a magic Halberd. He was then entrusted to The Blessed Isles and sealed within the Vaults of Helia. As centuries passed, he sensed the land around him become corrupted, tainted with rot and perpetual stench of death. He dreamt of steeping Xolaani in this same suffering once he'd claimed his freedom.

Taarosh's chance would come when Aatrox called out and awakened the remaining Darkin. Filled with purpose yet again, Taarosh reached out and was able to lure a local dragon into making contact with the Halberd. After assimilating the creature into a new body, Taarosh hurried to Mount Targon where he joined the battle against those who had imprisoned him and the despised Xolaani. Despite his best efforts, Taarosh fell short of Xolaani's new power and was defeated. After Xolaani's defeat by Ryze, he and his brethren would scatter across Runeterra again.
