Solstice's History

Solstice, or "Selene" was born during her brother's start of terrorizing schools with his magic, Solstice was born with no magic or any sort of abilities from her ancestors, she was considered a "late bloomer" towards the Blackwood Family, she was seen as the odd one out or the black sheep's reflection from her family, nothing was interesting about her as no traces of magic was found including in her genetics.

She wasn't the brightest person in their family of wicked witches, instead of wasting her childhood on learning spells, making potions and doing witchcraft she cherished it by doing what every kid does at her age, go on bikes, blow bubbles, eat loads of candy, everything normal kids would be doing in the early stages of childhood. Although, they do find it a "waste of time" that she's going around enjoying her life, her mother was the only person that would help her cherish it.

Her family despised her for not recieving a blessing from any of her ancestors, she wasn't even given a chance from the weakest ancestor, or so they thought that was the case for her reason she didn't have any powers was because she had a secret oath that she had to go through something, but no one knew how to recieve the magic or when she even gains it.

They tried everything on her in order to help her gain her magic, nothing worked, their ritual didn't even help her gain her magic, so what would've been the cause of her magic? Nobody knew, only the ancestors did.

After years of trying, they gave up due to Solstice falling through a coma due to the stress she was given from being pressured into recieving her magic, nobody even bothered to visit her hospital bed except for two of her family members, her brother and her mother, Lumin and Miranda, were the only ones who looked after her. On some occasions, it would be her grandmother who would look after her.

After eight years of being in a coma, Solstice woke up with unexplainable knowledge, in order to test her state of mind, they decided to give her basic and complex math equations in order to see her state of mind and how well she was doing mentally. Suprisingly, the doctors found that she solved all the equations well with deep explanation, including on the basic ones. She even managed to create an impossible math equation and solved it by herself with no help from anyone.

Her magic abilities started to show towards the family and it was getting obvious that she gained abilities by herself. Proving her family worthy of her power, she sh

owed herself to be a true Blackwood.
