Silence's powers and abilities

The Silence symbiote seemingly possesses the powers of the Scream symbiote combined with those of the Anti-Venom symbiote.

The Symbiote has augmented all of its host's physical abilities to superhuman levels equal to, and in some cases greater than, Spider-Man's.

Superhuman Strength: The symbiote adds Spider-Man??s superhuman strength to it's host's human strength and increases/decreases with his variable muscle mass.

Superhuman Durability: Silence's body is highly resistant to physical injury, capable of withstanding assault from high-caliber bullets as well as attacks from super powered individuals. The Silence symbiote is invulnerable to the traditional weaknesses of symbiotes, fire and sonics.

Superhuman Stamina: Silence is also capable of surviving in harmful areas for long periods of time such as underwater or in toxic gases, the symbiote filtering breathable air to the host.

Accelerated Healing Factor: Additionally, the symbiote is capable of healing injuries in the host at a faster rate than normal human healing allows. The symbiote is also capable of healing injuries and illnesses that current human medical care cannot such as cancer. This is even more advanced for Silence, such that it can regenerate from a shotgun wound to the head in a matter of seconds. The symbiote produces antibodies that can "cure" a person afflicted by radioactivity, parasites, diseases, and drugs.

Genetic Memory: The symbiote possesses some limited psychic ability, making it capable of obtaining information from its hosts and even other people and symbiotes simply by touch. It can however, be forced to forget information if the symbiote is inflicted with heavy trauma.

Offspring Detection: The symbiote is also capable of psychically detecting its offspring, however with effort this ability can be blocked.

Wall-Crawling: The symbiote is capable of Spider-Man??s ability to cling to walls by controlling the flux of inter-atomic attraction between molecular boundary layers.

Webbing Generation: Silence can shoot strands of the alien??s substance. The symbiote??s substance seems to be composed of tough, flexible fibers of organic polymers, which regenerate swiftly after "shedding". The one limitation to this ability, since the webbing itself comprises the costume, is if Silence uses too much it, she will be rendered vulnerable since the symbiote is unable to replenish its lost mass for a short period of time while exhausted.

Constituent-Matter Generation: Silence can also use the same substance comprising the symbiote in the form of constituent white matter or tentacles, and uses it in this method for lethal force against criminals. Silence can send a part of the symbiote and direct its movements into a victim's body, smothering them from the inside.

ESP: Silence also possesses an extrasensory ability similar to Spider-Man??s spider-sense. This response is not as complicated as Spider-Man??s inherent sense since the symbiote can detect danger from every direction and conduct giving its host plenty of response time. This is a lot more efficient than Spider-Man??s spider-sense because it takes less time to sense the danger.

Immunity to Spider-Man's Spider Sense: Because the Venom symbiote originally used Spider-Man as its host, its offspring is able to bypass his spider-sense. As such, Silence's attacks do not trigger Spider-Man's spider-sense, thus proving Silence a formidable opponent to Spider-Man if they do battle.

Camouflage Capabilities: The symbiote is capable of mimicking the appearance of any form of clothing, camouflaging with its surroundings rendering her invisible, and even mimicking other people.

External Symbiote Rejection: The Silence Symbiote has the ability to reject the Venom symbiote and presumably all of its children as well. However, it was revealed that, if it releases too many anti-bodies while curing people, it is possible for this power to be weakened and another symbiote can bond with her.

Constituent-Matter Manipulation: Silence can manipulate its matter to enlarge or stretch its body in order to augment its attacks. Silence is capable of morphing its host's hands into objects, such as to form a blade (similar to its symbiote nephew, Carnage) or fabricate a shield.

Constituent-Matter Manipulation (Hair): Like Scream but unlike her other fellow symbiotes, Silence prefers to extend her hair-like tendrils to lash at or encircle her foes.

Impurity Sense: Silence can sense foreign substances within a person's body. This includes symbiotes, radiation, narcotics, viruses, and other diseases.

Internal Bodily Cleansing: After sensing an impurity such as toxins, drugs, diseases, and other malignant substances, Silence can forcefully "cure" the substance from the person's body using antibodies produced by the symbiote. This power can also be used to depower some superhumans. In one case, Anti-Venom almost rid Spider-Man of the radiation in his blood when attempting to destroy remnants of the Venom symbiote, and nearly cleansed Radioactive Man of his powers in a similar fashion. Following Anti-Venom's use of this ability on him, close proximity to Anti-Venom or Silence causes Spider-Man's powers to diminish and disappear (this is another reason why the symbiote does not trigger Spider-Man's spider-sense).

Spider-Power Negation: After attempting to cleanse Spider-Man of his symbiote remnants and nearly purging the radiation from his blood, whenever Anti-Venom or Silence is too close to Peter, his powers are effectively canceled until enough distance comes between Peter and the the Symbiote. Alternatively, when Anti-Venom or Silence ensnares Spider-Man by binding him with the bits of matter fired off as webbing, it negates Spider-Man's powers until he breaks free from it.

Fire immunity: Like Anti-Venom and in contrast to the other symbiotes, Silence is immune to fire and extreme heat.

Sonic immunity: Besides immunity to fire and heat, Silence also shows strong resistance against sonic-based attacks.

Superhuman Speed

Superhuman Agility

Superhuman Reflexes

Shapeshifting: Fangs and Claws, Wings

Flight: Silence is capable of manipulating her biomass to form wings.

Night Vision

Hell-Mark: The Hell-Mark was bestowed upon the Venom symbiote by Mephisto, and ultimately transferred to Andi Benton, thus marking her as a potential candidate to become a Hell-Lord and take Mephisto's place as the ruler of his Hell should he be chosen to become Satan during the Descent. The demonic sigil gives her an assortment of demonic abilities, but has a corruptive effect on not only symbiotes but Andi herself.

Healing Factor: The Hell-Mark is capable of rapidly healing Andi from wounds as severe as being impaled through her torso.

Hell Portal Creation: When Andi's life is in danger, the Hell-Mark can open a portal to Hell and forcibly teleport Andi there.

Hellfire Conjuration: Andi's most-frequently used ability granted by the Hell-Mark is the conjuration and manipulation of hellfire. Andi is capable of granting symbiotes immunity to its effects in order to channel hellfire through them, though this can be revoked at her discretion. Andi's hellfire is powerful enough to immolate symbiote-dragons - which are highly resilient to traditional symbiote weaknesses - and even temporarily incapacitate an avatar of Knull. As a side-effect of its ability to conjure hellfire, the Hell-Mark makes Andi immune to fire.

Demon Summoning and Control: As a potential Hell-Lord, Andi is able to use the Hell-Mark to summon and command a variety of demons. Amused by her impertinence, Mephisto gifted Andi with the Monsters of Evil to serve as her bodyguards, though they were slain by Carnage - who had been augmented by Chthon and Knull.

Demonic Armaments: Andi is able to manifest demonic weapons - including a sword with a blade of hellfire and a spiked pipe wrench, and armor.

Demonic Transformation: By drawing on the full power of the Hellmark, Andi can transform herself into a demon - sporting horns, clawed fingers, and furry hock-jointed legs with hooves.

Silence's weaknesses

The Symbiote is extremely vulnerable to a poison made by Norman Osborn using the Freak and Mr. Negative's Darkforce powers. The poison destroys the symbiote for a while, and Mr. Negative's powers halt the symbiote's healing powers until his dark energy is no longer in contact with the symbiote.

Power Exertion: Overuse of Silence's healing powers can weaken him, leaving their host exposed.
