Sentinel's powers and abilities
Artificially Enhanced Unique Physiology
Nathaniel Jason Parker has a unique DNA sequence that combines both Plutonian and Human physiology due to an accident with a solar reactor that was designed to enhance a Plutonian's natural abilities. The solar reactor is what his superhuman powers and abilities derive from. Though most of his powers' limits are still unknown, Sentinel has been said to have the power of billions of exploding suns, and he has displayed several abilities similarly possessed by Praetorian. By definition, Sentinel is a living embodiment of a Star.
Solar Energy Absorption
Technically, this is the main source of Sentinel's powers. Because Sentinel's powers are greatly due to exposure to Earth's sun, his powers have been affected by extreme absorptions of solar power, whether voluntary or involuntary. However, Sentinel has used this to his advantage in battle in many instances, and to his detriment at certain times. He absorbs solar energy and can utilize it for physical strength. The cells of a normal human body convert energy from foodstuffs into a form of energy usable by the body. This energy is stored through converting molecules of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) in the cells into adenosine triphosphate (ATP); the energy is released when necessary by breaking a chemical bond in the ATP molecules, converting them back to ADP. Apparently, he can store solar-derived energy in his cells through the same, or a similar method, and release it when necessary to enhance his physical strength. Every time he uses his superhuman abilities, his body expends absorbed sunlight and he is capable of utilizing any of them to various degrees through controlled circumstances. Also, he can absorb sunlight even at night if there is a moon, as moonlight is nothing but refracted sunlight. He can absorb the different types of radiation from countless stars. Nate's cells have been absorbed during his space travel, including Black Stars and raging Quasars. The existence and constant exposure to proven "healthy" radiation sources are not required for him to live and utilize his powers, but prolonged periods without exposure to them and/or utilizing his powers will require Sentinel to recharge to live and continue using his powers.
Solar Re-channeling
Ability to re-channel the solar energy which his body absorbs, by which he takes the solar energy and uses it for a variety of related purposes.
Solar Bomb
Nathan has shown the ability to release the solar energy within himself like a bomb, an attack that has proved powerful enough to hurt Prefect. He can use the same ability to a lesser extent to raise his body temperature to incredible levels to turn himself into a living torch.
Solar Energy Manipulation
Sentinel is capable of generating and relaxing great quantities of solar radiation, enough to vaporize a group of planets with little effort.
Solar Hunger
He has the ability to manipulate the light patterns he generated to stimulate the optic nerve and make the brain believe the body is starving.
Photokinesis
Sentinel also has the superhuman ability to generate, control, and emit light. He has the ability to project light in intense waves when he absorbs and re-channel solar energy and absorbs ambient wavelengths. This ability to produce hard-light constructs.
Light Projection
By conscious control over the light, he produces, he can control its direction, frequency (color), amplitude (intensity), and duration. Sentinel can produce numerous effects with the light he manipulates. He can simply cause a bright glow all about his body. He can create a pulse of light on the order of several tens of thousands of lumens of power per second (the sun produces at most 10,000 lumens of brightness at noontime), which temporarily blinds people with its brilliance.
Cosmic Pyrokinesis
He can create 'cosmic' flames under any conditions even the impossible ones such as vacuum space or underwater. These flames do not require oxygen to burn and burn so intensely that matter is consumed without by-products such as ash. He has perfect control over these flames, and they only consume what he wills.
Flame Breath
Nathan can produce and spray super-heated plasma or lava-like fluid from his mouth through exhalation. He can destroy buildings, most living organisms, even aliens with this ability. He can also use this ability to ignite combustible materials within a specified radius.
Fire and Heat Immunity
As is the norm with most pyrokinetic, Sentinel is immune to all forms of Heat and Fire as they simply add to his abilities and his mutated metabolism can simply convert these two forms and augment his abilities. This includes heat powers that are directed at him as well as heat that is present because of weather conditions. Sentinel has also been seen with the ability to absorb the energy that fire gives off and has remained unharmed while walking through it.
Energy Blasts
Sentinel can generate light, heat, force, and other forms of energy as powerful blasts and explosions of a yellow color. These blasts are usually generated from the hands, fingertips, and eyes. It is suggested to be as hot as the sun itself and so only uses this in a dire situation. Nathan has also shown the ability to emit omnidirectional blasts that we're able to eliminate a large group of Pride's soldiers. Sentinel can manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum to release tremendous amounts of heat to incinerate specific targets.
Energy Manipulation Control
Nathan has displayed great versatility in the use of his energy projection abilities. He has demonstrated the ability to project pure energy as a concussive force, gamma radiation bursts, "magnetic" energy, infrared heat-blasts from his hands, and disruptor beams, as well as form vastly powerful energy shield, barriers, and force-fields. This enables him to absorb and manipulate infinite amounts of energy, the amount of which he can use is, of course, limited by his willpower. He has become an expert at his energy manipulation and he can fire from any point on his body, although he usually uses his hands for ease of aiming. Sentinel can fire in multiple directions at once or from every point of his body at once. Several times he has "detonated", releasing a massive amount of energy at once, destroying objects within a certain radius. On more than one occasion he has used his ability to manipulate all forms of energy to prevent a foe from using their own powers.
Molecular Manipulation
Sentinel has demonstrated the ability to manipulate matter and energy at a molecular level with a great degree of precision and control. His molecular manipulation ability contributes to his regenerative healing abilities as well despite his extraordinary invulnerability and durability. It has been said that the vast majority of his powers are derived from his ability to alter matter and energy. Sentinel has the ability to rearrange the atomic and subatomic structure of inorganic and organic matter, rearranging subatomic particles to create objects of different atomic characteristics of equal mass. He can change and transmute the atomic composition of an object. Nate has demonstrated the ability to separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen via electrolysis, allowing him to breathe underwater. Nate has rekindled dead stars(such as turning a dying red sun into a vibrant blue star). He has been able to utilize his power to manipulate molecules to create Sand Golems capable of downing a full-size Vanguard. Nathan can also use it in ways such as stopping a full-speed Storm star throw directed at him by Star Master. He turned Val Oran, a Plutonian, into dust, soap into the dirt, and Remus into a statue.
Superhuman Strength
While the exact magnitude of Sentinel's strength is unknown, it is generally accepted that his strength easily surpasses the capacity to lift 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons, but how much more is not known exactly. Sentinel has shown feats of strength such as; being seen lifting an enormous pyramid and flying it to Pluto without any strain (which can weigh millions and millions of tons depending on their size), he is so strong that he is capable of ripping off the arm of the likes of Thallos and physically defeating him in combat, he has been able to move the planet Earth away from the Sun while a powerful Cosmic Entity was pushing it toward the Sun, he is so strong he possesses the strength necessary shatter entire worlds. Nate has delivered blows that have the force of trillions of gigatons of TNT explosives. He can also create powerful shockwaves by clapping his hands or stomping his feet. Nathan also can channel vast amounts of magnetic energy through his body to potentially grant himself even more superhuman strength. Even in a weakened state, He once punched the Earth's tectonic plates to create an earthquake with a 9.8 magnitude. Sentinel is the strongest being on the planet and one of the strongest beings in the Universe. It has been shown that Sentinel's strength is tied to his emotions, especially anger. This in turn would mean that the power of his strength would depend on his emotional state in at least some way. He can become "supercharged" and exceed his "normal" power levels as evident when his power absorption ability ran amok.
Nigh-Invincibility
Sentinel's body is near invulnerable. Sentinel is one of the few superhumans that could be considered invincible. He has taken a blast equivalent to a million nuclear warheads point-blank and remained conscious. He has entered the Sun and emerged completely unharmed. He has been seen to skirt the photosphere of the sun (100,000,000 degrees F). He was able to withstand the destructive power of a Star exploding and going Nova at point-blank range and survived without any visible physical damage although the explosion didn't knock him out. He has been seen surviving extremely harsh atmospheric conditions, including the vacuums of space. In addition, his immune system protects him from all toxins and diseases. The most common explanation for his invulnerability is Sentinel having a super-dense molecular structure and a supercharged bio-electric "aura" which acts as an invisible "force field" around his body within a few millimeters from his skin, and presumably within his body as well. The proximity of this field to his skin means that loose clothes, for example, maybe burned off of him, while the cloth that is close to his body is protected by the "aura;" Sentinel can willfully utilize his aura strengthening its power to a greater degree to provide an additional defense against certain levels of physical and energy attacks for a considerably long period of time, but doing so can endanger him should the attempted feat prove inefficient for any reason. He utilizes his aura by expanding it around a person(s) or object(s) to enable their structural stability when lifting or traveling with them. If angered, Sentinel can go into a berserker state, granting his even greater strength, invulnerability, and immunity to all forms of damage. He has been shown surviving the blast of nuclear warheads, entering the Earth's sun and emerging unharmed, withstanding the impact of an exploding star, and enduring an explosion equal to 500 supernovas while already significantly weakened.
Superhuman Speed
Sentinel is capable of enhanced reflex action and the ability to move, think, react, at incredible speeds by sheer force of will. He can move at speeds much faster than light and is one of the fastest beings in the Universe. Nate can use this power to disarm opponents with or without heightened reflexes, deliver hundreds of blows a second, walk on water, catch bullets, or shrapnel or cross vast distances in seconds. Sentinel can also run at incredible speeds and even keep up with most speedsters; he was seen running steadily at a speed of 2000 miles per second (Mach 9350) He has been seen flying from the Sun to the Earth and back in less than 2 minutes. It should also be noted that the Sentinel has numerously been depicted as able to fly to the sun in a matter of moments (where it takes light over 8 minutes). This shows that Nathan's speed during inter-stellar travels is several times over the speed of light, or (alternately) demonstrative of an ability to enter hyperspace. His flight was described to be bending space and time through pure speed, and that the speed he was flying at was so fast that it was disorienting Omega. Sentinel is so fast that he is even able to vibrate through blows akin to what the Detective can do as seen in his fight with Sloth. In a fully drained state, Nathan's reflexes are only sufficient enough to dodge semi-automatic projectile weapons and read the encyclopedia set in under three minutes.
Flight
By harnessing and manipulating the anti-gravitons, Sentinel possesses the ability to float by defying gravity, utilizing his superhuman speed to fly far above hypersonic speeds, and is capable of flying at faster than light speeds. He tends to fly at speeds of Mach 10 in the atmosphere. The control of his flight is perfect and he can perform aerobatic feats such as hovering, flying backward, and even lifting great weights while flying. Sentinel can fly at speeds many times faster than light. Sentinel has the ability to fly in outer space. He has been seen to fly to the moon in minutes so we can assume that he can fly faster than that outside of atmospheric interference. He flew to Saturn (about 746 million miles distance) almost immediately, which required him either to move at many times the speed of light (still thought to be impossible in this space-time) or to have bypassed space altogether thus giving the impression that he had moved faster than light-speed. At such speeds that not even an Omni-God of New Eden could withstand. He apparently has several means by which he achieves flight, one of which is by riding along a planet's natural magnetic lines of force, another by simply creating a repulsive force between himself and the planet, propelling himself thus. He once traveled from the Rigel star to Earth - a distance of about 772.9 light-years - in under ten minutes, meaning he is capable of flying over thirty million times the speed of light.
Superhuman Stamina
Sentinel has the ability to maintain continuous strenuous physical action for an undefined period. His enhanced musculature is far more efficient than that of a human. As a result, his muscles produce no fatigue toxins. He has unlimited stamina as his enhanced nourishment is produced from the solar energy his cells process. When under the light of a star, Nate is constantly replenishing his solar reserves. In an environment without the light of a star, his solar reserves are gradually expended as he exerts himself.
Supercharged Brain Activity
Sentinel's mental abilities are also increased in speed, simple computations can be done at lightning speeds, and his ability to perform normal feats at increased speeds has allowed him to build hundreds of force field generators in a matter of minutes, move sandbags to cover a beach or search an entire area for something as small as a paper clip. He is even capable of several billion calculations simultaneously.
Enhanced Mental Perception
Sentinel possesses the ability to sense & comprehend things on levels that far exceed human capabilities. He is constantly aware of his own state of being, physical health, and mental status.
Total Recall
Nathan has the ability to instantly recall events that of everything he sees, hears, pays attention to or that holds great emotional importance to him.
Longevity
Sentinel could live indefinitely. Nathan does not age because of the healing factor that regenerates his cells and that he is powered by the sun. The sun has allowed Nathan to constantly renew his cells, thus he�??s unable to age. As such, he doesn't show signs of age as long as the sun is there to empower him. As Sentinel is unaffected by earthly diseases and draws energy from the sun to live, he is effectively an ageless immortal. Sentinel is functionally immortal and gets stronger with age basically makes him a no-power-limited superhero.
Self-Sufficiency
Doesn't need to eat and sleep (but is capable of doing so), and does not require oxygen to breathe enabling him to travel in space and underwater unprotected so long as he's under the effects of solar radiation. His body stores the energy necessary to negate eating and sleeping for an indefinite period.
Regenerative Accelerated Healing Factor
In the extreme event that he is harmed, he can heal himself from virtually all injuries. He has been shown to have the ability to heal instantaneously from any wound. Nathan once even came back from being molecularly dispersed, during his fight with Sloth. His body is capable of regenerating and replacing lost limbs, organs, and muscles instantaneously. His healing factor is supplemented by his stores of solar energy and also seems to be an unconscious ability. Sentinel's healing factor also keeps him in optimal health and decreases the rate of his aging by a high degree-granting him a life span that is almost indefinitely. He could also heal others' wounds and injuries.
Hyper-Cosmic Awareness
Nathan is capable of experiencing events that happen in his future, such as having flashes of a fight against Sloth one year before it happened. His mind is also capable of grasping the full scope of all of reality, being able to observe the Omniverse on a scale the mind of a regular human wouldn't bear.
Superhuman Hearing
The ability to hear any sound at any volume or pitch. The only Earth creature who can detect sounds at the frequency he can is a blue whale (0.01-200,000 Hz). Sentinel has shown enough control to block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source and or frequency. He can hear every single heartbeat, as well as the blood pumping through everyone's veins, hear every footstep, every cell phone signal as it lances through the air, and more. He can identify a person by their heartbeat, or pick out a single voice in an entire world.
Lie Detection
Sentinel can tell whether people are lying or not, based on the rate of their heartbeats, which he is quick to warn Alexandra Osborne about.
Super Smell
Nate's sense of smell is so acute that he can distinguish between identical twins at twenty feet by minute differences in smell. He can detect odors of an atmospheric concentration of thirty parts per million. Further, his ability to remember smells enables him to identify any person he has spent at least five minutes with by smell alone, no matter how he or she might try to camouflage his or her natural odor. His powers of concentration are such that he can focus upon a single person's smell and follow it through a crowd of people at a distance of fifty feet.
Illusion Awareness
Most illusions are based on the sight, hearing, etc of the victims and usually ignore other senses. So somebody with superhuman's levels of smell such as Nathan should always be able to be aware at all times of the true reality around him, potentially seeing through any optical and/or mental illusions that others attempt to deceive him with.
Superhuman Sense of Touch
Sentinel's sense of touch is so acute that his finger can feel the faint impressions of ink on a printed page, allowing him to read by touch. The rest of his skin is equally sensitive, enabling him by concentration to feel minute temperature and pressure changes in the atmosphere around him. Even with his senses of smell and hearing blocked, he can feel the presence of a person standing five feet away from him simply by his or her body heat and disturbance of air.
Superhuman Sense of Taste
Sentinel's sense of taste enables him to detect the number of grains of salt on a pretzel. His ability to remember tastes enables him to determine every ingredient of a food or drink he tastes, as long as there are at least twenty milligrams of that substance present. His sense of taste allowing him to not only smell but taste pheromones in the air such as when he made mention of training with Starlight in the Citadel.
Earth Link
Sentinel's powers have created a psychic bond between himself and the primal life force of Earth's biosphere. This bond with the Earth and apparently the entire universe gives Sentinel spiritual and material sustenance with an almost empathetic sense towards living things. Sentinel also possesses the ability to sense and detect life force and he has once sensed a dying tree in the Lance Mansion. He has once sensed a snowball being tossed and sensed the Nexus cutting the atmosphere even though the distance between them was thousands of miles. He can sense any natural phenomena including earthquakes, storms, etc... Sentinel can sense movements in the air or water mediums.
Geomagnetic Link
Sentinel is tied very closely to Earth's EM Field. As it is affected, so is he. He knows instinctively all that happens to it. Earth lends him strength by its simple existence. He draws on this strength all unconsciously. Nathan is sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world, and his powers over the Earth's EM Field are affected by his emotions. One consequence of this connection to nature is that he often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent his emotional state from resulting in cataclysmic events. He has once sensed a diseased and dying tree in a park, detected objects within various atmospheric mediums�??including water, and sensed the incorrect motion of a hurricane in the Northern Hemisphere and the gravitational stress on the tides by the Moon and Sun as well as the distortion of a planet's magnetosphere.
Heat Signature Sense
He has the ability to sense beings by the heat signature that they give off.
Heat Vision
The ability to fire beams of intense heat at a target by looking at it with the conscious act of activating this power. Visually, the power is typically depicted as two beams of red light firing from his eyes. Thou he can also control the size and direction of the beams. He can vary the heat and area affected. His heat vision is not limited to traveling in straight lines, able to bend or twist as needed. Nathan is so powerful that he can destroy a solar system with his heat vision alone, and has even been stated to rival the heat of a Star.
Energy Vision
With a blink, Nathan can see the physical world around him as energy, including the human body's nervous system, which in turn allows him to counter all forms of attacks. Added to his already formidable hand-to-hand abilities, this makes him a very tough opponent. While in outer space, Sentinel can affect and manipulate the interstellar and intergalactic mediums. He can alter his visual perceptions to see the universe in terms of energy patterns, detecting the flow of kinetic, thermal, and electromagnetic energy. Nathan has also shown the ability to see in almost complete darkness.
Super Vision
He also possesses a superior sensory arrangement of microscopic, telescopic, infrared, and ultraviolet visual capabilities. He can see the entire spectrum. Sentinel has been able to utilize his powerful senses, part of the mechanism is physical, part of it is believed to be psionic in nature. All of his senses are immune to sensory overload. Abilities include:
- Electromagnetic Spectrum Vision
Sentinel can see into all of the EM Spectrum. He can see and identify radio/television and all broadcast/transmitted frequencies, allowing him to avoid detection through radar or satellite monitoring methods. Sentinel can see the aura that every living thing generates.
- Telescopic Vision
The ability to focus his vision to see something at a great distance, without violating the laws of physics.
- Microscopic Vision
The ability to see extremely small objects and images down to the subatomic level.
- X-Ray Vision
The ability to see through anything except lead. Opponents sometimes used lead-lined constructs in an attempt to hide things from Sentinel. He can see things behind a wall as if the wall were not there, or can "peel back" layer after layer of matter in his mind. Nathan can focus his vision past layers of matter, literally seeing "through" them -- possibly perceiving x-rays, cosmic rays, or other forms of energy invisible to a normal human vision that passes through Earth's atmosphere (and solid objects) after emission from stars. Since it is passive, this ability would not generate harmful radiation in the same manner as a focused projection of hard X-rays.
Infrared Vision
In combination with his other extraordinary vision-based powers, Sentinel can also see into the infrared spectrum.
Electromagnetic Spectrum Manipulation
Sentinel has the ability to project or manipulate any form of energy that is related to the electromagnetic spectrum. He can fire and absorb bolts of electricity and magnetic force, reverse lasers and other forms of radiation or energy, create enough intense heat as infrared radiation to level a city, and become invisible by deflecting visible light around his body. Heat or infrared radiation is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which also includes visible light, radio waves, ultraviolet light, gamma rays, and x-rays. Sentinel can project any of these. He can maintain total control of an entire planet's electromagnetic field and can manipulate it accordingly. Sentinel once used his powers to create a stable wormhole between two points in space.
Electromagnetic Pulses
He also has creative uses of his powers such as using his magnetokinesis to channel the Earth's magnetic field through the electro-current of his brain and generate devastating electromagnetic pulses.
Energy Enhanced Strike
Sentinel can charge his strikes with energy, increasing their effectiveness to a devastating degree, being able to smash planets and take down entire teams of incredibly powerful beings.
Magnetokinesis
Sentinel has the power to shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or artificially. He can draw magnetic force from outside himself, or can also generate magnetic force within himself. His power is psionic and physiological in nature. He can lift, move, and alter objects. Nathan can manipulate an entire planet's electromagnetic field though this is a task that requires great effort on his part. He has harnessed magnetism to stop armies, raise islands from ocean floors, move mountains, change the course of rivers, and threaten to devastate the world with floods and earthquakes. He has once blanketed the entire globe with a self-generated electromagnetic pulse that caused widespread devastation. Moreover, Nathaniel can use his magnetic powers in more than one way simultaneously. He can completely assemble a complicated machine within seconds through his powers. Nathan can project metal at an unparalleled velocity and place tremendous pressure on metallic substances to liquefy and reshape them, manipulate the iron-enriched blood-flow to one's brain to induce aneurysms or unconsciousness, redirect the flow of blood through one's brain to alter thoughts and perceptions or blank a person's mind completely, levitate a person or control a person's actions by manipulating the iron in their bloodstream, remove the iron from the bloodstream entirely through a person's skin, control ferrous particles in the atmosphere, alter the Earth's magnetic field which extends into space as the magnetosphere, prodigiously increase his own strength to unknown levels, and achieve a wide range of other effects.
Metal/Matter Manipulation
Sentinel can manipulate metal at the atomic level and make it take different forms. He also demonstrated the ability to indirectly manipulate non-metallic objects via metal ores they may contain, for example, the huge island that Sentinel levitated due to iron ore that was therein. Sentinel is also capable of creating powerful electromagnetic fields capable of levitating nonmetallic objects, he can also do this via force fields.
Gravity Reduction
Nate's control over the magnetic and electromagnetic force is so refined that he can shut off gravity within a limited radius of himself by reversing the polarity of the earth's own magnetic field.
Gravitokinesis
Nate has the ability to negate the pull of gravity. According to Kid Atomic, he is one of the most powerful sentient beings in the universe because of his ability to manipulate gravity, the dominant force in the universe for shaping the large-scale structure of stars and galaxies. He can manipulate the gravitational field of the planet. Sentinel can negate gravity even on very huge objects and said to himself that it doesn't pose any challenge for him. He also can isolate the gravity field around a certain object or person, and since the objects are held on the surface of the planet by the gravitational field, while the planet is constantly moving in space, once the gravitational field is removed, the objects will be immediately left outside the planet.
Graviton Field
Sentinel controls a thin layer of gravitons (The theoretical particles for gravity) that act as a second skin. He can push and pull matter, but with better concentration, he can do more complex things, such as Controlling the Weight of an object, Flying, or shooting concussive blasts. He could create an omnidirectional gravity field extending ten feet from his center of balance, rendering himself virtually immovable as long as he was in contact with the ground.
Gravitational Electromagnetism
Sentinel could feel the movement of energy and emotion on many scales. He possessed gravitational senses that allowed him to manipulate energy for a variety of purposes, including warping of gravity fields, sensing when a death had occurred in his vicinity, shaking gravitational particles in the air around him which allowed him to speak other languages and to heal others.
Force-Fields
Ability to create protective force shields that could deflect even the most powerful of attacks (even filter bacteria from the air). The upper limits of this ability remain unknown, but it is believed that he could probably protect himself from harm at the ground zero detonation of a 1 kiloton nuclear warhead (4.18 terajoules of energy from the heat, concussion, and radiation effects) with ease.
Crystal Generation
Sentinel can unwillingly protrude sharp star-stone crystals from various parts of his body as a defensive mechanism. They appear only under an extreme amount of damage. They allow him to maintain superpowers at peak when under an extreme amount of damage. The crystals can easily rip through a Plutonian.
Life-Force Control
Sentinel can fully control and manipulate life and death itself, as such, it can take the "life energy" from something, rendering it "dead" or vice versa.
Pride Manipulation
Sentinel can sense and manipulate the pride, arrogance, and hubris, of himself, and other living beings, whether by increasing, decreasing, causing, or otherwise channeling emotions, even manifesting the emotional energy to a physical level.
Confidence Empowerment
Sentinel's abilities are enhanced dramatically when others around him or he himself, have faith in him and his abilities. Overall, his powers become dramatically more powerful, the more confidence he gets. With this increase in power, Sentinel can wield energy of 17 centillion megatons.
Anger Empowerment
Sentinel becomes stronger, faster, more durable, etc. the angrier he gets. Overall, his powers become dramatically more powerful, the madder he gets. In a battle with Sloth,

Sentinel can project anger, fear, and despair to weaken his enemies and channels rage from his victims to increase his strength
Telepathy
Sentinel can read minds and project his own thoughts into the minds of others in vast distances from him with little to no resistance from even the most powerful telepaths. Nate is one of the most powerful telepaths on the planet and is one of the strongest telepathic beings in the Universe. He can read the mind of any human with no difficulties, and the only minds that can cause him little trouble are insane. Sentinel can even read their subconscious mind as well. He can scan the mind of every person on Earth within a matter of moments. This telepathy extends to distances as far away as the Sun. Sentinel can use his powerful psychic and mental powers to augment his physical form.
Thought Sensing
Sentinel can use the mental signature of a being to track it and detect lifeforms by their empathic and telepathic signatures. He can detect whether a being is intelligent and can communicate with it empathically if it does not have a communication-driven frame of reference for normal telepathy to function with. He can also detect various states of mind from anywhere in the world.
Telepathic Relay
Otherwise known as a telepathic link. As an Omega Class Telepath, Sentinel can use his telepathic prowess as a relay station for a group of minds, who can then "speak" to each other through him. This relaying ability seems to be limited to the same range as his normal telepathic range.
Telepathic Assault
Sentinel can also offensively use his telepathic abilities. He has the ability to cause a mental shutdown in a target using his mental powers. Sentinel does use this power often due to the invasive nature and harshness of such a telepathic attack.
Mind Control
Ability to control the minds of others upon mere concentration. This power can allow him to completely shut down several peoples' minds, making it appear as if time has stopped.
Mind Alteration
Ability to alter the minds of others by force of will.
Mind Link
Ability to develop a mental link with any person which remains as a connection to that individual.
Psionic Shield
Ability to erect a psychic shield for protection of himself and of others' minds and is sufficient to protect himself from other psychics on the Omega level.
Increased Psionic Resistance
Sentinel is capable of causing a counter-force against telepathic assaults and probes. This is due to his mind being very complex and due in part to his own rage. He is virtually immune to casual scans and possesses an awareness that makes him difficult to read even for high-level telepaths. He has done so to the point that his defenses even while he sleeps aren't easy to get through, as admitted by a telepath like Karen Snow. Both Alex Croft and Jason Heart have had major problems with navigating Sentinel's mind, and
both Alex and Jason have even managed to get lost in it.

Genius Intelligence
A natural genius, Nathan's intelligence and brain functions have always been apparent; long before he was affected by radiation and has shown incredible intelligence and computational abilities; his mind works sharply and with extreme speed relative to humans. Praetorian has stated that Nathan's exposure to the solar reactor tripled his intellectual capabilities. He is capable of using his powers to detect all substances in a single object and thence determine how much of what substances make up an object. Nate possesses a vast knowledge of various sciences, history, philosophy, and current events, potentially being smarter than most, if not all, human beings. He has read a library of medical texts equivalent to 25 years of medical training in 2 minutes, assembling a mass of data into an image in less than a minute when it would take supercomputer years, and formulating the unified field equation. Nathan is a skilled scientist and inventor. He is capable of processing and memorizing a person's entire DNA sequence. Nate is well-acquainted with highly advanced alien technologies.
Adept Interplanetary Knowledge
Because Nathan's genetic structure was merged with Praetorian's by the Solar Reactor, Nathaniel has vast intimate knowledge of all aspects of the Plutonian race, including their language, culture, customs, politics, and technology. Though he is virtually half-Plutonian, he has never been fully emotionally tied to them and sometimes has gone against Plutonian authority on certain matters. Nate is knowledgeable in Plutonian Law, History, and Politics. He also had extensive knowledge of highly advanced Plutonian technology. Due to Nate's adoption in an advanced alien culture, his knowledge base is superior to that of humans and most other races. Nate has vast intimate knowledge of all aspects of the Heliosian, Omni-Gods, Ravinian, and Solarian races with some knowledge of Cosmic Entities. Nathan also has extensive knowledge of various alien customs, societies, and cultures and vast knowledge about cosmic abstracts.

Nathan Parker is a master detective. Sentinel has shown to be an expert detective using his intellect to figure out complex problems and super senses to find clues and evidence to crime scenes. Nathan Parker has exceptional knowledge and understanding of the criminal underworld and thinking. He has studied under experts in forensic science, law, behavioral science, and criminology. Nate had noted that he cannot enjoy most detective stories as he can always determine the identity of the criminal within the first few minutes.
Multilingual
Nathan speaks a multitude of languages fluently. Also, he learned all of Earth's languages in less than a month. He also speaks Atlantean and is also fluent in Plutonian, as well as 26 other alien languages. While learning these languages, Nathan has also been seen to understand the culture these languages belong to and has much respect for their beliefs and customs. Plus, through precise muscle control, he can mimic other people's voices.
Expert Combatant
Due to Nathan's life being bullied and pranked as a young teenager to acquiring amazing superhuman capabilities and combining them with his scientifically adept and creative mind, Nathan has through time become an excellent hand-to-hand combatant utilizing a fighting style that directly complements his superhuman abilities. Nathaniel is a skillful warrior, demonstrating immense versatility and intuition in the battle, like anticipating and exploiting the weakness of his opponents. He utilizes a fighting style that directly complements his superpowers. Nate has been trained in Aikido, Boxing, Gladiator Combative Methods, Wrestling, and even learned Advanced Martial Arts Techniques. He also has had training in combat arms, including broadswords, spears, and battle shields. Nathaniel is an expert in Plutonian and Atlantean martial arts and is skilled in Judo, jiujitsu, and Fencing. Nathan's combat versatility allows him to adapt to any foe and beat them. Due to Nathaniel being well educated in the functioning of the human body as well as martial arts techniques that target pressure points enabling him to paralyze the limbs of an individual's body or the entire body altogether. He's disabled eyesight, speech, induced pain, and even has knowledge of pressure points inducing death.
Master Tactician and Strategist
Nathan is a master strategist and problem solver and skilled in battle techniques. He is an accomplished strategist, both in actual battles and games of chess. Nate's shown to be a very perceptive and analytical young man. He has an undeniable talent for thinking things well in advance as well, make decisive and accurate decisions quickly in battle, and able to perceive any situation at hand. He has been widely considered one of the greatest tacticians on the planet, both on and off the battlefield. He's able to formulate strategies and his brilliant tactical sense allows him to alter any strategy to fit the changing need of the situation. Nate can form all kinds of plans to overcome anything and has created counter-measures for them to succeed, which is heightened by his mental instability, and thus unpredictability as an opponent. Despite knowing his power as worlds beyond others, Sentinel is highly cautious in battle, placing special protections on himself and his teammates to leave no blind spots.
Leadership
Sentinel has proven many times over his ability to command respect and inspire others with his charisma, ardor, and idealism. He often serves as the primus inter pares of the Omega Legion, even at a young age. Sentinel also has shown to be remarkably empathetic and understanding of emotions and human nature. He has often given extremely wise advice to his friends and teammates during times of crisis and in personal adversity. Nathan is also a highly skilled leader and a capable ruler.
Intimidation
Sentinel is indeed a powerful force and when engaging bank robbers for the first time, he caused an impact crater, taking a couple of them out with his eyes glowing red with his heat vision and ordering the rest to retreat. This was enough to send the one to a mental hospital.
Diplomatic Immunity
As the prince of a sovereign planet, Nathan Parker often visits Earth or the United Planets for political reasons. He enjoys diplomatic immunity during these trips.
Indomitable Will
Nathan is shown to be very stubborn and is nearly fearless. Under no situation would he ever give up. Nathan is a very strong-willed person. He can overcome most forms of temptation. He was taught to protect life and help others. He is very optimistic and never gives up, even when things look bad. Nathaniel is also capable of resisting most forms of mind control; only the strongest-willed individuals have a chance of enslaving him. He has learned to possesses extraordinary control over his emotions, despite his reputation of anger and hatred towards his abusive father and injustice. Sentinel's ability to resist the Wrath Ring was broken, however, following the death of his first wife, Talia, Starlight leaving him, and his increasing instability. Sentinel has learned to place mental inhibitors on his own power to not shatter the planet. To him, they are the barriers that allow Nathan to feel human enough to live a healthy life, and he only ever releases one or two of them when fighting a particularly powerful opponent or performing a difficult task.

Weakness
Solar Energy Dependency
Sentinel will eventually weaken without replenishing his energy reserves with any form of solar radiation. When his solar energy is depleted, his resistance to physical punishment drops to approximately one-quarter the normal amount. Withstanding large amounts of damage continuously over time will rapidly deplete his solar reserves. Sentinel is highly dependent on solar energy.
Vulnerability to Plutonian Weapons
As proven by Val Orin, weapons forged by the Plutonian craftsmen are capable of bypassing his invulnerability, harming him.
Beings of Equal Power
Beings of comparable incalculable superhuman might, such as other Plutonians, can generate enough force that can knock out, injure, and even kill Sentinel, breaking through his invulnerability
Depression
Nate suffers from depression and emotional instability at times. Although preferring to deal with events rather than bottle them up, things going repeatedly wrong in his life can drive him to either lash out -- usually by putting criminals in traction -- or engage in self-destructive behavior. Because he sometimes lacks the basic responses of survival instinct, such as scanning his surroundings or flinching in anticipation of danger, never twitching nor fidgeting because he never tires. And Nate can emotionally detach, with a constant aloofness, as if he was bored with human existence. Although his powers are significantly more destructive when under extreme emotional stress and making him highly unstable and prone to violent outbursts. This makes Nathan a very unpredictable, extremely dangerous individual. He can be violent, has explosive bouts of rage, and often borderline insane. Nathan can get out of control and sometimes needs to be restrained or held back, for his own good or that of others.
Excessive Loyalty
Nathan's biggest weakness is excessive personal loyalty: he would risk the world and even his own life to save a loved one or even a stranger according to Raidia. She was obviously displeased that her own daughter is an object of that loyalty. Ramses previously exploited this trait with Alexandra Osborne. Queen Raidia also says "The most dangerous flaws are good in moderation" when Nathan protests that personal loyalty isn't all that bad. However, before, Nate's weakness was doomed to war and the end of the world as Raidia had predicted.
