SCP-3812, “A Voice Behind Me”, Sam Howell
Let’s start with the concept of Humes. This is basically a power level number. And of course, SCP-3812 might completely transcend this number..
In this same post, we can also be introduced to ‘narrative layers.’ This will be an important part of this little blog so keep that in mind. There are infinite layers as we already know, but narrative layers are layers in which one layer completely transcends the other and has ‘author-like’ control over it while the one underneath has no control at all.
The author further reinforces the idea that SCP-3812 has r>f over all of the inferior universes.
So where do we scale this guy? I’ll discuss where he lands in power compared to other stronger characters, but let’s look at this from a purely powerscaling perspective. The paradoxity of 3812 does allow for H1-A+, along with the clear r>f and narrative transcension. I would say he is currently High 1-A+ or High Outerversal, but will later be even higher.
Now, what most people confuse is his CURRENT power level. Howell says that he is GOING to transcend the entire cosmology as a whole, but hasn’t yet, and will likely not for infinity time. Now that we know what narrative layers are, I may as well explain how WE fit into all this. Think of it as this. There are, as aforementioned, infinite narrative layers. We are just one of those layers. We are not the ‘supreme’ layer. There is likely a layer beneath us and a layer above us. The reason why this is important here is because some people think that the author said that he is above our world, and therefore omnipotent, but that is incorrect.

,the SCP Foundation is a fictional collaborative writing project created by fans. all its details such as anomalous objects, procedures, locations, etc. are purely fictional and fan-made.

I remember that it originated on the /x/ paranormal board on 4chan in 2007 when the first SCP, SCP-173, was posted anonymously. This prompted other fans to create more fictional SCP files. In 2008, a standalone wiki was created on EditThis to host SCP articles. It became more organized when it moved to Wikidot in 2008, allowing fan contributions. There is no canonical story Just it is an open wiki where anyone can add new SCPs set in the same fictional universe, While it borrows elements from established genres like horror fiction, the SCP Foundation itself is not part of any existing book, movie or game franchise. It is purely a fan-driven fictional setting.
