Sage Of The Endless Sword's History

The Sword Sage was elite, highly respected and skilled, and yet a kind and wise master. Not much is known about the Sword Sage before he became Yerin's master, but it is known that he was employed by Tiberian Arelius to investigate the Labyrinth using the hand of Subject One.

The Sword Sage first encountered Yerin after she was taken by a Blood Shadow, which killed everyone in her village. He was amazed that Yerin continued fighting the Blood Shadow within her, despite having nothing left. Sages rarely take in disciples, but Adama saw a level of drive within Yerin that he decided to foster. The Sage of the Endless Sword was Yerin’s beloved master for many years, adopting her and teaching her the Path of the Endless Sword. This gave him another reason to go to Sacred Valley: its suppression field would weaken the Blood Shadow while he sought a cure for Yerin.

At some point, Adama became engaged with Min Shuei, the Sage of the Frozen Blade, who made a pair of matching wintersteel swords for the two. Min Shuei heavily disapproved of Adama's journey to Sacred Valley.

After making it to Sacred Valley, the Sword Sage took short trips into the Labyrinth to investigate, gradually weakened by the valley's suppression field, until he was weak enough to be poisoned and murdered by the Jades of Heaven's Glory. He retreated into the Labyrinth before dying from his wounds, and his Remnant defended his body and sword fiercely from the school elders. Yerin eventually confronted the Remnant, absorbing it to advance to Lowgold.

About five years later, after the battle with the Wandering Titan, Lindon discovered Adama's void space, which had been kept open by Elder Whisper. The space stored copious notes about the Dreadgods, some of which came from House Arelius.

During Lindon's team's training in Ghostwind Hall, Lindon was able to summon the hunger echo of Adama from the Labyrinth. The Sword Sage was pleased by Yerin's advancement to Herald and advised her in using authority with her attacks without directly manifesting an Icon. Adama was also visibly annoyed by Lindon's power despite his young age.
