| About | Breaking into the comics scene is hard enough for writers, pencilers, and colorists. Success is a brass ring that only a few will grasp. Appearing as a guest contributor or even becoming part of the team on a long-running title is not a guarantee of a long career. The same can be said for new superhero teams and new characters. New characters struggle to make a first and lasting impression. Some, like Harley Quinn, Ghost-Maker, and Spoiler, have been able to stay relevant and even star in their own comics. But for every new hero or villain that makes their first appearance, there is always the chance that a premiere is merely the prelude to a finale. |
