Owen Elliot's History

Owen Elliot (born Sam Matthews) is a former Division cleaner who was one of the specially chosen few assigned to guard one of Percy's black boxes that contain data and information on the secrets of Division which, if obtained, can be used to take down the organization. He was also the one that killed Daniel Monroe, Nikita's fiancé. Later, he becomes the head of security to protect Alexandra Udinov.

Having no memory of who he was, Owen embraced his life as a Division operative displaying loyalty to Percy by killing loved ones of Division agents. Owen later even became a guardian. He later fell in love with Emily and wanted to keep her out of his dangerous life and be with her. After her death he joined Nikita in her cause to take down Division. Owen was shown to be highly loyal to Nikita and followed her during her missions.

After Amanda restored his memory, he remembered who he was really Sam Matthews again. He started to call himself Sam and displayed selfish behavior as he quickly turned on Nikita and his friends to make money. His ruthlessness even surprised Amanda as he was willing to kill anyone in his way and lied and deceived to get the black box. He mentioned he considered his years as Owen wasted and wanted to make up for it by getting a huge amount of money. He also was keen on killing Amanda even though he was willing to let her live as long as she was useful to him. During certain moments he acted like Owen again. He stopped Amanda from manipulating Nikita and even destroyed the black box to help Division.
