Olaf The Trollgod's Enchanted Hammer

What is Olaf The Trollgod's Enchanted Hammer?

Powers of Olaf The Trollgod's Enchanted Hammer

[*]The hammer was already notable for being a remarkable supernatural weapon — despite his vampire strength, Spike was unable to lift it. Months later, Anya brought up the hammer as one of the two weapons that Buffy could use against Glory, noting that it contained divine power, and unlike Spike, the Slayer was able to wield it easily.

[*]Olaf's hammer further proved its worth when, during the final fight against Glory, it caused visible bleeding damage to the hell-goddess (who had, before then, always emerged from the fights with neither scratch nor any damage) when Buffy used it against her repeatedly, finally morphing her back into Ben's form.

[*]According to Joss Whedon, the hammer is a reference to the mythological Mjölnir, the hammer of Thor, the Norse God of Thunder. Most notably, for the Mjölnir represented in Marvel Comics, one must be worthy to wield the weapon, similar to inability of Spike lift it while Buffy easily carried it.
