The lore: Part 1
Under Don Eladio, Gus Fring is leading up the cartel on the front up along with Lalo whos providing the muscle(they actually mutual friends here)...

But tides turn as Tommy Vercetti, a small gangster who became a major hitman for many major gangs decides to level up his game, turns the gangs on one another and watches the game as they burn themselves on war and hatred. This leads to Don Eladio's attention and he decides to setup a meeting with the former, only to kill him in the process. Tommy decides to join the meeting and as Eladio starts to begin, his plans get ruined by Niko Bellic, an elite marksman and Tommy's business partner snipes the whole gang of Eladio within a matter of minutes...

As a heavily injured Eladio is crawling with all his power, Niko finishes him off as Tommy begins his announcement of being the Head of the Cartel and makes Bolsa let him know everything about the network while Niko leads Eladio's men which also consist of the neo nazist group of welker, todd etc

Part :2

As steams rise up for the new king, Tommy decides to inspect everyone related to the cartel. As he inspects Gus who built a meth lab enough to make one billionaire within a year, he suspects the latter on his loyalty to the boss. But what gave him more attention was Walter White, who cooked a batch of 99.1% purity. Thinking of the possibilities and the amounts he could make, Tommy announces he may bring up his cooks soon so that they could learn from Walter, but only so that he can finish Gus off knowing the latter is planning to take over him

Part : 3

Furious by Tommy's move, Gus decides to meet up with Lalo to discuss what move they should make against Tommy, to which he replies "All in". Heisenberg shares his ideas on poisoning Vercetti with ricin but Lalo acclaims the next meeting could be fatal for either of em, and that its now or never. Realising the stakes at hand, Gus hires his bestmen led by Mike Ehrmantraut and plans on defeating Tommy, all convos overheard by Tommy's spies who informs Tommy to be prepared
