Night Hunter's History
Satharan Toryvhallen was born as prince and heir to the throne of the City Above Others. This city rests in the heavens, and watches over the activities of the multiverse. It was once a place of evil, where foul demons tormented the people of many universes, before several heroes formed the Hero's Destiny, and overthrew the demons, casting them from the heavens and they were scattered into the many universes below. The city was formed into a heaven.
Satharan, at the age of 12, was stolen away from his family by Ud-Ulnur, servant of the Demon-lord Drassdirak, and held for ransom. The King of the City Above Others sent down great treasures in order for his son to be freed, but instead of returning him to the City Above Others, Drassdirak 'freed' him by casting him onto the world of Suulder, a planet in a state of constant war. He was captured by the Warlord Girash III of the Plains of Dark Clouds and made into a servant. In his time there, Satharan trained himself in combat, awaiting the day he could escape. He did so at 17 years of age, killing Girash and fleeing.
Satharan was found by Lord Trask, an enemy of Girash. He trained under him for many years and became a skilled warrior. He was found by Girash IV, son of Satharan's previous master, who wanted revenge, and Trask was killed in the ensuing battle. Satharan decided to prove himself a worthy warrior by fighting and slaying the dragon Shen-Asui, which he succeeded in doing so. He found an ancient weapon, the Sword of Worth in the dragon's hoard, a powerful weapon wielded by a member of the Hero's Destiny. This blade gave him great powers, which he combined with his great skill, and he freed many lands in Suuldur, from the wrath of cruel Warlords and monsters for years, fighting and slaying Girash IV and putting an end to his dynasty. He finally unlocked the greatest power of the blade when he killed the Chaos Master, a Demon responsible for the state of constant war in Suulder. This gave Satharan the ability to traverse different dimensions.
At age 29, Satharan finally returned to the City Above Others and found that Drassdirak had united many demons under his command and laid ruin to the city, casting it's inhabitants into slavery and slaying all he could find of the royal family. Satharan swore to avenge his home, and he battled Drassdirak, but his powers had grown, and Satharan was defeated and cast from the City Above Others. The dark magic in his wound threatened to kill him, and on an isolated world, he was too wounded to escape. To avoid being killed by the evil in his injury, he used the Sword of Worth to cut the festering wound out of himself, proving himself still resilient. He returned once he had healed, and this time, Satharan was ready to face Drassdirak. The cursed state of his wound had actually granted Satharan greater powers that increased at night, and with the new nighttime cast over the City, his powers were at their peak. Drassdirak was utterly destroyed, and Satharan slew many other demons, forcing the remaining to flee. He singlehandedly liberated the City Above Others and freed it's inhabitants. They thanked him greatly, but he would accept the role of king. He gave that to Thaedon, who had helped keep many people safe from the cruelty of the demons. Taking the title 'Night Hunter' for his shadowy powers, Satharan continued to battle evil across the multiverse.
