Megan Russo's History

Megan Russo is the paternal aunt of Alex, Justin and Max, the sister-in-law of Theresa Russo, and estranged sister of Jerry and Kelbo. Her personality is similar to Alex as she is characterized as lazy, sarcastic, artistic and selfish, but more so than her niece. She despises her family because Jerry opted to give his powers to Kelbo, who was much less talented at magic, but Jerry stated that it was because Kelbo needed them more. Afterward, she cut all ties with her family and magic, then moved to a loft in Paris where she is a painter.

Megan only appears in "Retest" where Justin, Alex and Max try to convince her to retake the wizard competition. Not much is known about her history, but it's mentioned by Theresa in "Retest" that when Jerry gave his powers to Kelbo instead of Megan to marry Theresa (as mentioned in "Alex in the Middle" where wizards can't marry mere mortals), Megan became furious about it. As a result of her resentfulness, she threw Theresa's homemade empanadas off the terrace and hit a cop, resulting in a police record. She cut ties with the Russo family and moved away.

During her only appearance, Alex, Justin and Max visit her apartment to ask her to retake the wizard competition, but she refuses to take the retest. However, a lecture from Alex and Theresa may have left her with things to think over about her grudge.

During the episode when they go to meet Megan, they let Max take them there. However, he did not realize that the "Paris" they were referring to was actually Paris, France, and not Paris, Texas.
