Mechagodzilla's History

MechaGodzilla was the final weapon deployed by IOI in their attempt to gain control of the Oasis.

In the original novel, MechaGodzilla fought against a series of famous mechs (Leopardon, the RX-78-2 Gundam, Raideen and Minerva X) controlled by the heroes. It would ultimately dispatch all of them before Wade used the Beta Capsule to transform into Ultraman. MechaGodzilla didn't stand a chance against this new opponent and was quickly destroyed.

In the 2018 movie, MechaGodzilla fought against the assembled Gunters and began decimating their numbers. The Iron Giant (piloted by Aech) confronted MG, but was quickly outmatched and critically damaged from a burst of flame from the mecha. MechaGodzilla would then destroy Wade's DeLorean before fighting the RX-78-2 (piloted by Daito). The Gundam did damage to MechaGodzilla before its time limit ran out and Daito was incinerated by Sorrento. While targeting the fleeing Wade and Zhou, MG was jumped by the damaged Iron Giant, which was able to get Artemis close enough she could shoot out the mechas eyes and toss a grenade inside. The detonation of the grenade finally destroyed MechaGodzilla.
