**Name:** Kaelum Vale

**Appearance:** As depicted in the image, Kaelum hovers ominously above the ground. Draped in a tattered, ethereal cloak that seems to merge with the mist, he is distinguished by a pale, featureless face that evokes an eerie sense of dread. Black birds, drawn to his malevolent aura, circle around him, acting as his eyes and ears.

**Origin:** Kaelum is not of this Earth. He crash-landed as an infant in a secluded farmstead on the outskirts of a small town called Veritas Hollow. The Vales, a childless couple, found his wreckage and, seeing a seemingly normal baby amidst the debris, decided to raise him as their own, oblivious to his otherworldly origins.

**Powers:**

1. **Levitation and Flight:** From a young age, Kaelum discovered he could defy gravity. This power became more pronounced with age, allowing him to hover and fly at incredible speeds.

2. **Bird Manipulation:** The crows are not just companions; they are extensions of Kaelum's will. He can see through their eyes, control their actions, and use them to do his bidding.

3. **Mist Manipulation:** Kaelum can summon and control mist, using it to hide, escape, or disorient his enemies.

4. **Superhuman Strength and Durability:** Much like the boy from Brightburn, Kaelum possesses strength and resilience far beyond human limits.

**Background:** As Kaelum grew, so did his powers and his malevolence. The Vales tried their best to instill human values in him, but there was an underlying darkness that couldn't be suppressed. Nightmares plagued him, memories of a distant planet and its annihilation, hinting at his true purpose on Earth.

In his teenage years, a series of unexplained incidents began to occur around Veritas Hollow. Livestock went missing, structures were mysteriously destroyed, and people began to disappear. The crows, usually scattered, started converging around the Vale farmstead, leading some locals to grow suspicious.

**Turn to Darkness:** Kaelum's descent into villainy was solidified when he discovered the truth of his origins. Hidden within the wreckage where the Vales found him was a message, not meant for human eyes. It detailed his purpose: to conquer and prepare Earth for what's coming. Embracing his destiny, Kaelum saw humanity not as his family, but as subjects to be ruled.

**Weaknesses:**

1. **Emotional Attachment:** Despite his evil tendencies, there's a part of Kaelum that's still tethered to the love and care the Vales provided him. This emotional conflict can sometimes hinder his actions.

2. **Mysterious Mineral:** Buried within the crash site is a rare mineral from his home planet. This mineral can weaken him, making him vulnerable.

**Current Status:** Now, as whispers of a ghostly figure and his crow minions spread through Veritas Hollow, a group of brave souls seeks to uncover the truth and find a way to stop Kaelum before he realizes his full potential and doom befalls their world.
