Loki's History

Loki was among the Asgardians who survived Ragnarok and settled on Earth, which they renamed Midgardia. The Convergence later merged Midgardia into the Primary Earth.

Failing to protect his people from Ragnarok, Thor felt himself unworthy of both Mjolnir and ruling Midgardia. To prove him wrong, Loki entered into an alliance with Malekith when the latter planne an attack on Midgardia. During an invasion of Ulik's Rock Trolls, which served as a distraction, Loki slipped away from his brother and Sif, causing Thor to pursued him across Midgardia. When Thor confronted Malekith, he was nearly defeated until Loki stepped in to stab Malekith in the back. He then explained to Thor that it was him who deserved to rule Midgardia and slipped away with the Casket of Ancient Winters. He delivered it to his birth father Laufey, who used the Casket to unleash deadly cold upon Midgardia, freezing a portion of it solid to prepare for the assault of the Frost Giants. Although the Frost Giants prepared a ritual that would increase the Casket's power and freeze the entire Primary Earth, it was not part of Loki's plan and he subtly allowed one of the Omega Flight agents to disrupt the ritual.
