Krista's History

Krista walked purposefully through the blizzard.

She didn't care about the cold, she didn't care about the wind. She was determined to continue. In the freezing Northlands, where no creature can survive without starving, it was Krista's job to save the wanderers from the monsters that often raided the mountains, killing anyone in their path. That is why all those who lived in the cold northern world rarely came out of their homes, and if they did, well armed.

Krista led the wanderer to a small village, to old Noch's tavern. Good old Noch was a generous man, very hospitable to strangers, and that was a very good reason to leave us all the men Krista had saved. It was very busy, fights rarely broke out and there was the possibility of finding accommodation. Otherwise you could spend the night right there, in front of the roaring fire in the tavern, between one mug of beer and another.

But that vagabond, which had happened to her that night, was different.

White hair, pale skin, two silver horns sticking out of the head, and fur and wool dresses. He didn't look like a stranger, a vagabond. He looked like someone who was born to be in that frozen land of desolation.

He too was not cold and could withstand the wind as well as Krista, and he had shown that he could use magic, even quite well.

"Hey, Noch!" the girl greeted him, shaking off the snow. "How are you?" The old man turned, stroking his thick white beard: "Oh, good Krista! Thanks, but I think I'll have to rest in a while!"

Krista took the stranger to the only free table in a somewhat secluded corner of the tavern.

"What is your name, stranger?" The other stared at her with his giant blue eyes. But Krista wasn't afraid, those big blue eyes didn't scare her. He had always had them, eyes like that.

"I'm Lars." the boy said quickly, moving his head embarrassed. No one had ever held his gaze for so long.

Krista strode over to Lars. "You... are you my brother?" Her big blue eyes stared at him. A look now normal for both.
