Early life

John was born in Texas to the Morris family, a branch of the Belmont Clan. His ancestors had been mainly active in England, but since they were unable to make a living out of vampire hunting, they had forsaken their calling. In the middle of the 19th century, during the Gold Rush, the Morris family sought their fortune in America. After enjoying much success in the Texas gold mining business, they became billionaires

When John was two years old, his father, Quincy, went to visit an old friend in England. There, he came across Count Dracula. Quincy fought and defeated Dracula, but was killed.

After his father's death, John studied under a tutor and was taught magic by an elderly Native American man called Morgan. At the age of 18, he was informed about the history and fate of the Morris family by his grandfather. He subsequently partook in a test with the Vampire Killer. Upon grasping the whip, he was enveloped by a red aura emerging from it. The red aura then seemed to enter his body and faded. It was then that John's life as a vampire hunter began. Thanks to the Vampire Killer and the magic taught to him by Morgan, John earned many successes in vampire hunting.
