Jimmy is in a car with his mother and stepfather. On the trip, he constantly annoys the stepfather, referring to him as old, bald, and obese. That determines his character, thanks to which he is sent to the strictest academy in the country. Upon arrival, his mother says goodbye to him and his stepfather tells him that he will think of him during the honeymoon.

Jimmy arrives at Bullworth, where he is greeted by Miss Danvers, the headmaster's secretary, who shows him the way to the headmaster's office. Along the way, some abuse follows Jimmy. In the headmaster's office, he has a conversation with Dr. Crabblesnitch, who reminds him not to get into trouble. Jimmy leaves there and at the entrance to the bedroom he finds some Bullies, who begin to fight with him. Jimmy appears and defeats Russell Northrop, the leader of the Bullies. Before they start fighting, Mr. Hattrick interrupts them and tells Jimmy to get dressed.

Upon entering the residence, a boy named Gary Smith stops him, there he introduces himself. Then Jimmy meets Pete Kowalski.
