History of Hofuo
In God of War: Ragnarök, the sword Hofud is a magical weapon wielded by Heimdall, the watchman of the Aesir gods. Forged by Asgardian master smiths, Hofud is imbued with Bifröst energy, granting its wielder the ability to realm shift, effectively manipulating time to gain a combat advantage. Heimdall uses Hofud during his encounter with Atreus at the Wall of Asgard and later in a battle against Kratos. After Heimdall’s defeat, Kratos claims Hofud, allowing him to utilize its realm-shifting capabilities through the Hilt of Hofud relic.
