Higano's powers and abilities

Basara - Higano is one of the few kegare that has ascended to the rank of Basara. By absorbing enough spiritual power from those they have killed, a kegare gains true sentience, rapid regenerative capabilities, an ability to sense spiritual power over immense distances and additional unique abilities. Each Basara is considered to be a threat to the entirety of Japan by itself. Among the Basara, Higano was ranked as the 9th most powerful.

Spell Breaker - Higano demonstrated numerous times he was adept at breaking the enchantments Exorcists use to fight kegare. Some examples include breaking through Shimon's force field and shattering Mayura's binding spells.

Electrokinesis - Higano's unique ability allows him to control and create lightning. He uses it primarily as an execution move and a way to stop opponents in their tracks. This ability also appears to have boosted his speed to nearly being able to match lightning.

Pain of Lightning - Higano's unique enchantment cloaks him in enormous amounts of lightning and electricity, boosting his strength and speed further. The lightning rods that appear on his back allow him to process even more electrical energy into his own spiritual power.

Higano's weaknesses

Devotion - Higano's devotion to Hijirimaru has led him to consuming far less spiritual power than he would have otherwise. This devotion also lead to his early demise as he committed suicide to empower his dear friend.
