Hazmat's powers and abilities

Hazmat, real name Jennifer Takeda, was exposed to something in her youth that caused her to start emitting radiation at a highly toxic level. After her touch put her boyfriend in a coma, she was sought out by Norman Osborn, who offered to cure her. Instead he cranked her powers into overdrive. Now forced to wear a hazmat suit at all times for the safety of the people around her, Hazmat was one of six of Osborn's experiments noted as possible future villains, and was recruited into the Avengers Academy in the hopes that training her to be a hero would help her turn her life around.

After overloading her powers in a massive explosion, Hazmat somehow became able to control her powers without the need for the suit. This allowed her to go in public without the suit for a while, but she's currently having control problems again and has sought out Tony Stark to make a replacement suit in order to once again contain her powers.
