Gongsun Zhi's History

Gongsun Zhi is the master of Passionless Valley. Although he appears extraordinary, noble and gentlemanly, he is in fact cold-hearted, ruthless and lecherous. A highly skilled martial artist, he wields a pair of blades in combat, trained by his wife Qiu Qianchi. Originally a scammer, Gongsun Zhi is taken by Qiu Qianchi and taught martial arts, mostly against his will. After the birth of his daughter, Gongsun Zhi cut the tendons in each of Qiu Qianchi's limbs and threw her in a pit of alligators.

He first appears to us to save Xiaolongnü when she is left unconscious in the snow after leaving Yang Guo. When Gongsun Zhi first meets Xiaolongnü, he tries to make her marry him until Yang Guo shows up and stops him. His true colors are revealed as the story progresses, particularly after his wife returns to seek vengeance on him. He flees the valley after he is blinded in one eye, but returns later to take revenge on his wife and dies together with her when they both fall off a cliff.
