Roscoe and his predecessors are/were AMAZINGLY acrobatic*(probably ninja-esque), had mechanical reach in the arms/legs, and are/were hero clowns with the "cartoonish" ways that a clown would prank someone--only adapted the gimmicks to fight crime.
