In MCU Rogue shouldn't steal Captain Marvel's powers, like yes Rogue got it from her but honestly, that storyline was made in 80s as an excuse to remove Carol from comics forever and was rooted in Avengers 200, and Carol and Rogue have so many cool storylines together outside that moment, if they want Rogue to steal someone's powers do it to Sentry to show how strong he is and that her touch can't kill him, do it to G'iah since she has too many powers and like only one apperance, or if they really want rivalry with Captain Marvel have her touch Monica which angers Carol until they stop fighting after Monica wakes up and tells Carol she forgives Rogue
