About Bastion's defeat in the comics.

when Hope Summers was augmented by the Phoenix Force during her confrontation with Bastion, she was indeed operating at a level beyond that of an Omega-level mutant. The Phoenix Force is one of the most powerful entities in the Marvel Universe, capable of creation and destruction on a cosmic scale. When a mutant like Hope, who already has the potential to mimic and amplify other mutants’ powers, is combined with the Phoenix Force, her abilities are significantly enhanced.

Omega-level mutants are defined by their ability to control an unlimited power source, which means there is no upper limit to the potential output of their abilities. Hope’s connection with the Phoenix Force, therefore, not only amplified her inherent powers but also granted her additional cosmic abilities, making her one of the most powerful beings in existence at that time. This is why she was able to defeat Bastion, who was a significant threat to all of mutantkind.

The reason Bastion was defeated only by Phoenix (Hope Summers) is rooted in the narrative significance of Hope’s character. She represented the hope and future of mutantkind, and her connection to the Phoenix Force made her one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe at a level beyond that of an Omega-level mutant.

Bastion @yes Do you know nathan summers, Legion and others Omega level mutants? if you know them you probably know their tier.. And in marvel universe Nimrod is considered a significant threat to omega-level mutants in the Marvel Universe (Bastion possesses the combined powers and abilities of both Nimrod and the Master Mold) Bastion is the Nimrod UPGRADED.
