A dangerous and sadistic woman who seemed to relish being cruel, Renfro was Lydecker's superior. Unlike Lydecker, who feels a twisted-yet-genuine attachment to his fugitive kids, Renfro wanted the renegade X5s recaptured or neutralized by whatever means necessary. Amazingly, however, Renfro sacrificed her life in order to save Max Guevara, mysteriously revealing with her dying breath that Max possesses unique and valuable genetic characteristics and that she must find Sandeman. It is hinted that she may have connections to the Breeding Cult, as both Renfro and the men White hired to kidnap his son have RCF identity cards that access the Coloma burial site. Presumably, despite her obvious evil, she was an enemy of the cult and was trying to carry out Sandeman's plan to immunize the human race from their virus using Max.
