Drownviper's History

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

Forced by Kong to lead him through the Hollow Earth and back to the Skar King's stronghold, the young ape Titan Suko stops by a large lake and attempts to convince Kong to drink from it. As Kong steps into the lake and begins drinking handfuls of water, Suko flees just as a Drownviper attacks the larger ape. The Drownviper grapples with, constricts, and bites Kong, repeatedly dragging him beneath the water in an attempt to drown him. Kong eventually prevails and manages to use his battle axe to decapitate and kill the Drownviper before throwing its head inland, causing it to land near and frighten Suko. Dragging the Drownviper's corpse, Kong catches up with Suko and demands the young ape to continue leading him.

Later, as night falls, the duo stop on a cliffside and Kong begins to butcher and consume the Drownviper's carcass. Noticing that Suko is hungry, Kong offers the young ape some of the Drownviper's flesh, and the two settle down to eat together, strengthening the burgeoning bond between the two apes.
