Ingressus Voltaris, also known as the Deathsinger, is the main antagonist of Songs of War, but later becomes an anti-hero near the finale of the series. He is the leader of the Voltaris Clan and the driving force behind the Great War if the initial Nether Invasion does not count as the start of the Great War (which is commonly referring to the Ardonian alliance against the Voltaris and Nether). He was the leader after Dominus Voltaris. Despite his name, Ingressus didn't wish to be evil but became so after he being corrupted by the power of the Prime Songs, fueled further by feeling wronged, and that his life's purpose was supposedly shattered, until he eventually came to his senses during the close of the Second Great War. He is sometimes known as the strongest being to ever set foot in Ardonia. He passed away due to the wounds he received during his battle with Pythus and with his death, the pure Voltaris bloodline came to an end as all the other pure-blooded Voltaris were killed during either their exile, or the First/Second Great War. His wish of uniting the Voltaris with the other clans was fulfilled by Senn, the last surviving half-blooded Voltaris, who would initiate other clan members, clanless Ardoni or halfblood Voltaris (if they existed).
