I think the reason DCEU was so short-lived and people didn't like it because the story were made in that kind, batman had already been fighting for 20 years, fate was killed in
his first movie, the story always revolving around superman(or Krypton) and also they didn't explore more or didn't get room to it
They should have done it like Monsterverse like this:
2013: Superman
2015: Batman
This movie should have a post credit teasing that this took place in same universe as Superman and would set up Green Lantern, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Blue Beetle.
2017: Superman: Man Of Tomorrow
2019: Superman Vs Batman
In this movies Superman and Batman fight multiple times until Superman wins and leaves, soon Lex Luthor unleashes AMAZO and he beats Superman until Batman joins the fight and they beat him, movie ends with two of them making truce and looking for other heroes.
In this year we would get movies about Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Green Lantern.
2021: Blue Beetle and Flash movie
2022: Justice League movie where JL team up against Sinestro corps from GL movie, post credit scene would show us Darkseid hired Sinestro corp to attack Earth, second post credit scene shows Reverse Flash and Lex Luthor disscussing plans for Legion Of Doom, members would be Lex, Deathstroke, Reverse Flash, Amazo, Black Manta, Cheetah, Sinestro and Carapax
