Darth Bane's History

In Star Wars canon Darth Bane is the sole survivor of Jedi assault on Brotherhood of Darkness, after witnessing Jedi victory over the Sith he realized Sith's infighting over each other caused the order's demise and that it was their fault they got so weak Jedi could have destroyed them, because of this Bane inspired by doctorine of the Dyad created the Rule of Two establishing that there must always be only two Siths, a master and an apprentice, no more, no less, Bane eventually died and was buried on Moraband, his tomb would be visited centuries later by grandmaster Yoda who ventured to the planet trying to learn secrets of immortality, Bane would appear to Yoda and try convincing him to join the dark side but Yoda was able to see through him and realized he was talking to an illusion and not real Darth Bane. Bane's design in canon while completely different to his Legends one is actually George Lucas's idea since he believed he could look similar to a dark samurai and many even believe Sidious based Vader's armor design off of Bane
