The Superhero Database Classification number, or SHDB Class, is a number that represents the overall 'power' of a character. All traits of a character are used for calculating the Classification.
What it DOESN'T mean
This doesn't mean that a higher class would always beat a lower class character. But the bigger the difference in Class is, the more obvious it is who'll win in a fight.
How is this calculated
( INT^1.3 + (STR*0.5 )^2 + (SPE*0.5)^2 + DUR^1.6 + (POW + (SPS*SPL))^2 + COM^1.8 ) ^ TIER
Super Power Score and Level
Every Super Power has a score (SPS) that is used to calculate the Class. Each Super Power also has 3 levels (SPL). The level is set when connecting that Super Power to a character. The level determines the final score, of the Super Power, being used in the calculation.
They are chars stemming from the '94 Marvel VS DC 4 comic crossover event that later culminated into the Amalgam Universe. I may not ever forget that; I had the 4 comic crossover in real time; that was what inspired me to request the SS and Iron Lantern chars here in the first place.
The 1st above was an Amalgam or mix of Batman and Wolverine. The thing about this amalgam is this char would not gain that much really. He'd now be a major favorite to defeat Deadpool, Bane, Blade, and some others. However, the amalgam of Super-Soldier and Iron-Lantern were a big deal, because they gave Superman a shield(with Rogers' fighting ability plus leadership) and Iron Man is IM in 94 with a Green Lantern ring...
Imagine the possibilities: if you defeat SS shield--say with molecular manipulation, you still had to deal with him and his speed and power. He could also now block kryponite or magical rays with his shield. Iron Lantern would combine the minds of Jordan and Stark in addition to give the Green Lantern a good chance to defeat Silver Surfer level threats when GLs are not considered that high up. But, still, as before, Wolverine's claws might kill Superman if he was fast and strong enough take advantage of the power of adamantium, but he's not as Darkclaw(Logan and Batman's physical abilities), either. Wolverine is like 4-5 tons(skeleton) and Bruce is peak human, so no dice against kryptonians...
