Daniel Shaw's History

Daniel Shaw was a decorated CIA agent termed a super spy, a complete professional, and a man in total control. Shaw once taught at United States Military Academy at West Point. After joining the CIA, Shaw and his wife were assigned to gather intelligence on the Ring. Evelyn Shaw was killed in the field. Shaw admits he always tried to protect her, and he believes this is in part, what led to her death. As such, he is the man in charge of bringing down the Ring, and is the Agency's expert on the shadowy organization.

He is told that the CIA had ordered the termination of his wife, and that it was carried out by agent Sarah Walker, for whom he had begun to develop feelings. Out for revenge, Shaw teams up with the Ring so he can kill Sarah. Shaw takes the Ring's Intersect and uploading it, makes himself into a second Human Intersect and becomes a double agent within the CIA for The Ring. After eventually being found out and exposed as a double agent, Shaw is hit in the back of the head by Sarah and Shaw is taken into CIA custody.
