Corvus (Star Flash Universe)

Corvus's History

Corvus is a supervillain who is essentially a living black hole. He was born Simon Avery in San Diego, CA to Marine Corps officer Allan Avery and Navy Officer Jean Avery.

After commissioning in the Air Force, Simon became well known for his brilliant theoretical physics studies and highly analytical mind. Simon eventually was recruited by NASA and was on the ISS when the massive star flash that created Mithion occurred.

The entire ISS was vaporized in the flash and for years Mark Mithion was the only known survivor.

Simon was at his workstation within the ISS analyzing some particles Mark had collected from the surface of the ISS on one of his earlier exterior maintenance duties. When the massive star flash occurred Simon was blinded and then felt nothing but cold.

He opened his eyes to find himself standing in the middle of an enormous black vortex of dark energy. The swirling vortex engulfed Simon and twisted itself into his chest. Simon immediately felt a surge of rage, anger, sadness and betrayal scream through his entire being. All he could think was that they left him to die and that Mark was to blame. Simon had no idea the massive star had appeared and flashed away, he thought Mark caused the ISS to explode while doing his exterior maintenance.

Simon realized that he was on a small moon named Corvus orbiting the planet Mercury. Realizing that he no longer needed to breathe, Simon began exploring the moon and came across a number of quadrupedal beasts that swarmed him.

Fighting for his life, Simon screamed out in fear and emitted a blast of darkness from his hands that caused the beasts to wine and whimper in pain as it consumed them and then disappeared.

Astonished by his new abilities, of which he had only scratched the very surface, Simon adopted the name Corvus, after the moon he was on, and vowed to return to Earth to find Mithion.
