Blazestone

Blazestone's History

At some point before her career as a Super, Blazestone was arrested and jailed, before subsequently being recruited by the NSA. She was watched closely by the agency to ensure she operated within guidelines.

She was involved in a love triangle with Frozone and Downburst. Although she was once involved with Frozone, the pair were too different ("hot and cold"). Nevertheless, Frozone admired Blazestone’s skills, her spunk and her willingness to throw herself into the fray. More than once he had told his friend, Elastigirl, that both she and Blazestone shared similar qualities.

She was affiliated with the superhero team Beta Force, alongside Universal Man, though it is implied that the two did not work well together and tensions were high. A stickler for following the rules of the NSA to the letter, Universal Man believed that Blazestone would never make it as a “true Super.”

At some point, Rick Dicker asked Elastigirl to lead a team of supers that would comprise among others, Blazestone. Elastigirl however remembered Frozone's experience with Blazestone, which made her all the more adamant to refuse the assignment.

Later, Elastigirl was invited to watch a movie by Apogee who said that she and Blazestone had been hanging out. Elastigirl proceeded to meet Apogee and Blazestone at a duplex movie theater where the three chatted for a while. At first, Elastigirl clicked with Blazestone, as they both shared a similar sense of independence and other qualities.

Indeed, despite being a relatively new member of the NSA, Blazestone was already becoming something of a legend. Her powers included pyrotechnic blasts, giving the impression that she was a fireworks-producing machine. Only her fireworks weren’t exactly celebratory; they could be lethal. She had even given Apogee serious competition during the NSA’s “Blast-a-thon,” a competition set up between Supers who possessed ranged powers.

Alas, in a great blow for the NSA and Agent Rick Dicker, who had taken her under his wing, Blazestone eventually returned to her criminal ways and defected.

Having grown tired of the bureaucracy of the NSA, Blazestone gathered a group of petty criminals she had captured during her career as a Super, and attempted to escape Municiberg with a horde of stolen loot. However, both she and her goons were ultimately defeated by Elastigirl, with the support of Downburst, Mr. Incredible, Frozone and even her old partner, Universal Man. The disgraced heroine was last seen being driven away in an Agency crime van.

Having seemingly been redeemed of her criminal past, Blazestone was one of the Supers targeted by Syndrome for Operation Kronos. She was killed by the Omnidroid v.X2 during its training sessions. The Operation Kronos database assigned her a threat rating of 5.5.
