Background

Bela Dimitrescu is a fictional character from the Resident Evil franchise, specifically featured in Resident Evil Village. She was born in the early twentieth century and is the eldest daughter of Alcina Dimitrescu. Captured and experimented on by Alcina and Miranda, Bela was transformed into a mutant insectoid organism. This transformation involved the implantation of Cadou parasites that allowed her and her sisters, Daniela and Cassandra to mimic human anatomy while developing vampiric traits.

Resident Evil Village

In Resident Evil Village, Bela resides in the ominous Dimitrescu Castle alongside her sisters. They are known for their sadistic tendencies, particularly their enjoyment of consuming human blood. When Ethan Winters the game's protagonist, arrives at the castle searching for his daughter, Bela and her sisters initially capture him to present to their mother, Alcina. Despite their intent to consume him, Ethan manages to escape, leading to a series of confrontations between him and the Dimitrescu sisters. During one encounter in the castle's kitchen, Ethan uses cold air to weaken Bela, ultimately leading to her demise as she calcifies in response to the temperature drop. Her death is met with a scream, marking a tragic end to her character arc.
