Balloon Boy's History

ONE OF BALLOON BOY'S FEW SPOKEN WORDS

Balloon Boy, often abbreviated to BB, is a recurring antagonist and one of the toy animatronics of the Five Nights at Freddy's series, first appearing in Five Nights at Freddy's 2. He serves as the balloon vendor of the newly refurbished Freddy Fazbear's Pizza of 1987.

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S Graphic designed animatronic child wearing blue pants, red and blue vertical striped shirt, and brown shoes; holding yellow and red striped balloon, and "Balloons!" sign.

Balloon Boy is a human-like animatronic with a round body, peach-colored skin, large blue eyes, an orange triangular nose, red-brown hair, and a toothy grin. Like the other toy animatronics, he has blushed cheeks, which are a rosy shade of red.

He wears a red and blue vertically striped shirt with two black buttons down the middle. The propeller cap he wears bears the same pattern. He wears blue pants and simple brown shoes. His arms are stubby and thin with fingerless, spherical hands. In his right hand, he holds a large, red-and-yellow striped balloon, and in his left hand, he holds a rectangular sign that reads "Balloons!"

In Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, Balloon Boy's design is slightly altered. His skin color is more tan than peach, his eyelids appear purple instead of tan, and his face structure is significantly different.

Suggested by the few utterances that Balloon Boy makes throughout the course of the franchise, he seems to be a shy sort of character, and judging by his laughter, he has a playful and mischievous demeanor. Due to the fact that his only lines of dialogue depict him saying "Hello", "Hi", and laughter, Balloon Boy's personality is not clearly specified. Despite this, his personality can still be determined by his body language and his behavior. He hides from the player, freezes into the corner with his arms raised up instead of running to a safe vantage point, laughs and says "Hi!" and "Hello!" even when nobody is there. He also doesn't steal from the player as shown by the battery meter not going down and the flashlight still being in the player's hand as they attempt to use it.
