Baalkux's History

Baalkux is one of the Darkin, who were once great Ascended warriors until they were corrupted by the Void and Blood Magic.

Baalkux allied himself with Aatrox during the war against Xolaani, although her seemingly betrayed his brethren during the course of the war, which he felt great remorse over. Baalkux was eventually captured and sealed within a great staff by the Targonians. The bandlewood seemed a perfect place to hide a Darkin weapon, they reasoned. Bandlewoods are, by their very nature, impossible to navigate, and the yordles would know to steer clear of such abject malevolence. But the Targonians failed to realize the efficacy of such strange magic, and the effects it would have over the local flora. Baalkux's magic twisted one of the massive Bandle Trees into grasping his prison and from there, Baalkux became unique among the Darkin, as his massive host had neither heart nor blood.

Filled with remorse for his transgressions, Baalkux burst out of the Bandlewoods and began his inexorable march to Mount Targon. Before he could reach the battlefield, he was engaged by the celestial host of Mihira. Although he emerged undefeated by the agents of the aspect, Baalkux was unable to join the fight against Xolaani before she was defeated. Baalkux subsequently retreated back into the woods to await the next time Aatrox would need his services.
