Axo's History

Alex is a young mutant with the power to perceive and influence the emotions of those around him. One day, as he was watching his friend's soccer game, a group of boys began bullying him. Thao Tran, one of his friend's teammates, witnessed this and, being a mutant herself, decided to intervene. However, she escalated the situation and, with little control over their powers, they both needed Kate Pryde's assistance. When the dust settled, Kate gave them the contact of another young mutant, Trista Marshall, so the three of them could get together and talk about their experiences. After meeting, they all agreed to go to Kate's apartment looking for her to teach them but Emma Frost took control of their minds to which Kate took issue with and defended them. After witnessing the fight between Kate and Emma, Thao, Trista, and Alex became their students, studying at a former dance studio owned by Priti, Kate's roommate. At the former dance studio, Trista gave Alex the codename "Axo" during their first session because Alex can change the color of his skin, like an axolotl does.
