Astral's History

Eons ago, Astral engaged Don Thousand and won, sealing him into the Barian Sea in the Barian World.[39] Astral performed a Shining Draw that finally ended the battle, which seemed to destroy much of the Astral World in the process, and also split the original Astral World into Astral World and Barian World. Both Astral and Thousand screamed and were reduced to energy forms - one red and one blue. Those forms circled around the Numeron Code before vanishing.[40] As a result of this battle, fragments of Astral's power were scattered across the Human World and designated the location of the Numeron Code. They took the form of 50 "Numbers", among them the seven Mythyrian "Numbers"[41] and the four "Gate of Numeron" monsters.[42]

According to Jinlon, this battle brought destruction to the Earth and it must never be allowed to happen again.[19] During the battle, a shard of Thousand's essence was embedded inside of Astral when he battled him eons ago, creating Number 96.[43] As part of the seal, the seven Mythyrian Number cards were placed in ruins across the Human World.[44][41]

Astral was sent from the Astral World to Earth to retrieve the Numeron Code - an all-powerful card that created reality and could decide fate - before the Barians do.[18] However, Kazuma Tsukumo, who came to the Astral World, modified Astral's programmed algorithms and then sent him to Earth.[4
