Anissa's History

First Appearances

Anissa was sent to Earth to inspect what preparations Mark has taken to secure the Earth for Viltrumite control. When Mark revealed he had taken no steps towards the domination of Earth, Anissa decides to reason with him instead of using violence. She explains that the Viltrumite empire will bring peace to Earth and share their technology with one another. When reason fails, Anissa resorts to violence and strikes mark down leaving him in a crater. She warns him of another Viltrumite agent will return for Mark in the later future and decide his fate, that agent turned out to be Conquest. After her visit to Earth Anissa ran into Allen the Alien, and attacked him. Allen having recently been powered up was having an easy time with her, but when he realized that she would take him to the same prison as Omni-man, he threw the fight, letting Anissa win and take him to the prison.

Anissa has also been seen during the Viltrumite war, she has fought Mark, Allen the Alien, and Omni-Man near the planet of Viltrum in a last effort to win the war against the Coalition of Planets. After the planet Viltrum was destroyed, Anissa along with the remaining Viltumites relocated to Earth and live amongst it's people in secrecy until the time is right to strike.

Assaulting Mark

After the Viltrumites begin to assimilate themselves into Earth culture, they start to repopulate their species as they number less than even 30 Viltrumites now. Unlike numerous males of her species, Anissa sees humans as a species she can simply not breed with and instead chooses Mark because of his strength and genes. Anissa first attempts the 'human' way of mating.

After those attempts fail, she takes Mark by force after he returns from being trapped in a different dimension (Invincible #110). She and Mark battle across the sky when he rejects her advances and gets stripped, forced him to mate with Anissa. Anissa was successful, which resulted in the birth of Markus.

Anissa saves a nearly-dead Monster Girl from suffocating in the vacuum of space after she was put there by Robot. Anissa reports to Nolan about Monster Girl being close to death when she was found. She also reported that the area where one of Robot??s drones being located and the Viltrumites were awaiting his order. Mark, remembering what she had done, started to shake at the sight of seeing her. While another Viltrumite approached Nolan, she used the opportunity to whisper ??missed you,? to Mark, much to his disgust.

Later, Anissa left with Nolan and the other Viltrumites to confront the drone. Robot, who only wished to talk, asked about Monster Girl's condition as he was thrown into space. Nolan stated that she was stable. Robot discussed a plan to work together with the Viltrumites, knowing their mission to cross breed with humans. After long deliberation, Robot and Nolan came to an agreement on their terms. Mark flew to the drone, attacking it, surprising the Viltrumites. Anissa attempt to help Mark up, but Mark slapped her hand away in anger. The battle between Robot's drone and Mark was stopped by Nolan talking with Mark. A day later, She runs into Mark on the warship, much to his anger. He grabs her throat and slams her into a wall, demanding that she back off. Nolan shouted for Mark, but Mark told him to ??stay out of it.? Anissa grinned and proceeded to tell how Mark's aggression aroused her and made her want to repeat their prior incident. Mark lets her go out of shock and leaves with Nolan. She smiled as they left.

Five Years Later

A couples months after Mark had left Earth, Anissa gave birth to Mark's son, Marky. Sometimes between that time, Anissa would marry a man named Scott and have a daughter born recently. After hearing Mark was back on Earth, She rushed to the Viltrumite Warship and Eve attacks her. Nolan and Mark stop the fight and Nolan grabs her by the neck after Eve suggested that something happened between Mark and her. Mark defends her by lying and Anissa is asked to leave. She flies back to see her husband and two children.

Anissa talks to her husband, and she is glad that her husband helped her become a better person, and regretted what she did in the past, especially to Mark Grayson. She gets a call from Nolan Grayson, and she meets with her fellow Viltrumites Kregg and Lucan to prepare to defend Earth, since Anissa actually cares for Earth now. Unknown to Anissa, Mark tells Nolan that Anissa raped him, but Nolan gets over it, saying Anissa had changed over the last five years.

During the battle, Anissa fights against Thragg's children, and saves Eve from being killed but is cut open in the process. Eve tries to save her but Anissa's wounds are too severe. Anissa tells Eve to "Tell Mark I'm sorry--that I didn't understand what I was doing... but that I... I don't regret what I did... he'll understand... when he sees him." Eve still puts Anissa in a bubble, but Anissa succumbs to her wounds and dies.

Legacy

After her death, Mark finally discovers the existence of him and Anissa's son: Markus "Marky" Murphy. Mark decides to have Marky like a member of his family and bonding with him, also as a way to repay Anissa for what she did for him, Eve and his loved family. Growing up, Markus adopts the identity of "Invincible".
