Hey all! I wanted to share why I think Dragon Ball and Ben 10 characters are better matched against the animated versions of Marvel and DC heroes rather than their comic book counterparts. In the Dragon Ball and Ben 10 series, the power scaling is pretty consistent and lines up well with the levels we see in animated Marvel and DC shows.

In comics, though, Marvel and DC characters are often portrayed on a whole different level—especially cosmic or universal-tier characters like Superman or Doctor Strange, who are a lot stronger in comics than they’re typically shown in cartoons. Animated versions of Marvel and DC heroes stick to more grounded, direct action without the reality-breaking feats comics sometimes bring in, which makes them a much better fit for going up against Dragon Ball and Ben 10 heroes.
